Asklipio.

Asklipio in Rhodes, Dodecanese: Asklipio is located 64 km southeast of Rhodes capital. This lovely mountainous village is built amphitheatrically and stands out for its unique natural surroundings. One of the most important features of Asklipio is the Medieval Castle which was built by the knights of Saint John in the13th century. At the center of the village stands a lovely church of Virgin Mary built in 1060 A.D and right next to it is the old olive press whereas today it has become a Folklore Museum. During August two important festivities take place at the village, celebration of  the Metamorphosis of Sotiros and the Annunciation of Virgin Mary.
